While the staff at Eliot Sinclair enjoy getting stuck in mud, entering numerous cycling races and the odd glass of mulled wine at their annual mid-winter Christmas, they also like to get involved with some of the many fundraising events held for charity around the city each year.
This year some of our ladies banded together to enter the first ever Pink Star Walk and raise funds for Breast Cancer research, awareness and treatment. They decided to delight the rest of the office by preparing a pink-themed morning tea with homemade treats available for a gold coin donation. The whole office was very supportive of the cause and the ladies successfully raised a total of $481 dollars.
On Saturday 17th October in the early evening they met at Hagley Park, beautifully dressed up in their decorated angel wings and pink feather boas, as to look the part. A lot of fun was had on the 5km course despite the rainy setting. Two of the younger ‘angels’ won a prize for their fabulous pink outfits.
Thanks to the ladies involved at Eliot Sinclair and the generous staff donations, all fundraising efforts were enough to fund five rehabilitation sessions for one woman.
