While summer at Eliot Sinclair is devoted to bike races and running challenges, we are also a company of fantastic skiers and snowboarders. Each year at the end of winter, we take our families and leave for the weekend to go skiing at Porters Ski Field.

Small groups of ESP skiers and snowboarders cross the slopes and the kids have a great time on the magic carpet. We all also like to take a break and meet for a lunch or an afternoon coffee break in the bar. While some of the staff learn how to snowboard, dressed up in their orange ‘hi-vis’ jackets, the fearless ones challenge themselves on the expert-only slope of Big Mama. There are options for everyone!

Approximately 50 people stay at the beautiful Porters Alpine Lodge, which is located just a few minutes below the ski field.  The lodge is situated in a great position on the mountain-side and with spectacular panoramic views accompanied by a roaring log burner in the lounge it offers the ideal conditions for a well-deserved relaxing evening after a hard day of skiing.

At the end of a long day on the slopes, we all meet at the lodge for dinner. With goggle imprints on our faces from the sun, we slide into a pair of slippers, relax back with a drink in the warm lounge and discuss each downhill run and other important matters.

After dinner we play games and have a lot of fun. With new staff joining us during the year we all look forward to the opportunity to spend some time together outside of work.

While everyone is very busy during the year the ski weekend is an ideal opportunity to get together, get to know each other and enjoy some time off. A great tradition that everyone is looking forward to as soon as the temperature drops and the Alps are covered by the first heavy snowfall.
